Nestled in the Fiji Islands near Lautoka, students at the College of Theology & Evangelism Fiji put into practice the words of the Apostle Paul to Timothy – “The things you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2, NASB). Students who attend this college must live on campus, but in exchange, they are housed, fed, and educated at no cost. From here, these students (mostly South Pacific islanders) travel throughout the region, establishing churches and reaching people for the Lord.
In Fiji, Bibles are notoriously hard to come by. Shipping from the United States is prohibitively expensive for most, and the combination of the rural nature of most communities, heat, and humidity combine to destroy the paperback Bibles that are most frequently sent by well-meaning churches and missionary organizations. Both Bibles are lovingly hand-crafted using a distressed black leather specially dyed with waxes and resins that give the surface a natural distressed look while preserving its toughness and durability. This cover is matched with one of our softest cowhides – a desert tan leather that is sourced in Argentina and has a light pebble texture. The beauty and durability of these Bibles is enhanced with an Egyptian blue hand-stitched perimeter, steel blue and camel tan ribbons, and slate blue end sheets.

As often as we can, we use pictures from Bibles editions with similar features to the Bible editions we’re listing.
