I have a rather inexpensive bible, leather bound, mid sized (8×5″) that has 30 years of notes and relationship with the King. I had already gone through the “Farmer’s restoration plan”, duct tape, then binding tape, etc. Worked for about 10 years, but it was getting to where I was afraid to drop it, there would be multiple pieces to pick up. I found Schaeffner bible and was intrigued by the small, family business perspective. Took the plunge and WOW am I pleased. My Bible is on a totally different level now, truly a heirloom and I am so excited to be able to extend it’s life, I hope it’s in my hands when I “graduate”. I got a distressed leather with a custom laser engraving and it turned out so soft, smooth, and unique. It truly already looks like it’s been in my family for decades.

To all the Christian family out there: Before Christmas of last year, I ordered a black cowhide leather Bible with an engraved scripture verse on the front. I hesitated initially because of the price, but realized that God’s word was something I picked up everyday, and would continue to do so for the remainder of my days here. So I did it.

(By the way, regardless of whether the picture on Etsy states a particular version, they can make it any version that you prefer).

Oh my goodness, y’all! It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever owned! The leather, though cowhide, is as soft and supple as lamb’s skin. The quality is unbelievable. I’m so grateful I decided to purchase it.

Heather worked very closely with me, was always in constant touch, answered every question, and was able to accommodate changes mid-stream because I changed my mind on what I wanted. She never once made me feel as if it was an inconvenience. I waited 12 weeks for my Bible, not because of them, but because of my own indecision and the changes I had made, and I was happy to do so because I knew it would be exactly what I wanted. (It typically takes about 6 weeks to make and receive, or at least it did during the holiday season).

The quality of the workmanship is excellent. I assure you, you will not go wrong with this purchase. These brothers and sisters in Christ are the real deal, and they take pride in how they handle God’s word.

I have been privileged to travel the world preaching the Word of God. I have long wanted a quality preaching Bible. A lady from Schaeffner company spoke with me on the phone, helping me through the process. I could hardly fathom all the options made available to me. The end result was the most beautiful custom Bible I have ever seen. This Bible has quality that can be seen, smelled, and felt by the touch. It seems it was handcrafted with love. I don’t know how I could be happier with it!

This is the first review i have ever written about a company, and normally don’t take the time to do it but I had a completely custom bible designed by schaeffner and they did a great job. Heather was an absolute pleasure to work with and my bible is perfect! The craftsmanship is next level and the people are even better. Will definitely be using them in the future again.
